FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A KEEPSAKE BLANKET AND A QUILT?
A keepsake patchwork is made using your baby or loved ones clothes. This can be finished in two ways.
A blanket is simply backed with a light weight fleece. A quilt consists of your patchwork, a layer of wadding (I use bamboo wadding) and cotton.
A blanket is lighter. A quilt is still reasonably light weight but slightly thicker meaning it is more suited if you have thicker clothes you want to include like jumpers, denim and blankets. Quilts also give you a much wider range of backing options as I stock lots of beautiful cotton fabrics.
HOW MANY ITEMS DO YOU NEED?
The number of items needed is really flexible. The numbers I have given are a guide for baby items but will be a lot less for adult clothes.

Cushion - 5-16
Small - 12-20
Medium - 25-40
Large - 50-70

The number of items is quite a personal choice. Some prefer not to have too many duplicated items so will include more. Some people will not have enough so choose to have a border added. Either way if you have any concerns or questions, just get in touch.
WHAT CAN I INCLUDE?
The quilt is much more flexible with what can be included. The wadding allows a buffer for any bulkier items where as the fleece will not and although it is possible to include them still, it may have bulkier patches if you include things like jumpers and denim.

You can include pretty much anything, common items are:
Babygrows
Bodysuits
Muslins
T-Shirts
Dungarees
Dresses
Sleepsuits
Sleeping Bags
Hats
Socks
My First Items (Don't forget things like my first Christmas, Mother's Day, Halloween costumes)
Little Brother and Sister Items
Swim wear
Coats
Cloth Nappy
Blankets
Jumpers and Cardigans
Leggings and Tights
Trousers
Items of parents clothes such as hospital nightie and Dad's shirt for the first cuddle
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Quilts and blankets are safe to be washed on a gentle 30 degree setting. As all the clothes in your quilt will have different care instructions, wash as per your most delicate item.

Line dry.

After washing there will be a small amount of shrinkage but this is normal and to be expected with any quilt.
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
Due to the nature of the quilts, I am unable to accept returns on keepsakes.

You have 14 days after purchasing your keepsake to cancel your order and receive a full refund, unless your quilt has already been started.

If you change your mind after sending your clothes, you are responsible for the return postage.

What ever the reason, if you have any concerns please feel free to get in touch with your questions.
